Nearby Golf Courses
Woodbridge Park / Brinkworth (10 minutes drive away) - a not overlong Par 71 course over interesting, rolling countryside. Being constantly improved, it is more suited to the mid to high handicapper with few bunkers or ponds but enough natural hazards to make it interesting.
The Wiltshire, Nr Wootton Bassett (10 minutes drive from The Old Farmhouse) - originally designed by Peter Allis, The Wiltshire is a par 72 course on typical county terrain with and abundance of water features. In addition, a new nine hole course has been constructed measuring over 3,000 yards and will be a full layout with 2 par fives, 2 par threes and the remainder as par fours
Bowood (25 minutes drive from The Old Farmhouse) - working with the natural beauty of majestic rolling parkland, with a wealth of mature trees and lakes, Thomas' brief was to create a course to be enjoyed by all who wished to play.
The course gives a genuine feeling of getting away from the stresses and strains of modern life. Numerous tree and water barriers, together with cunningly placed bunkers, ensure that you have more to think about than just cutting the corners on the doglegs.
For those who are not feeling so brave, Thomas has been kind enough to provide forward tees, generous fairways and the opportunity to 'play safe'.
