As an experienced golf coach, I believe:
Golf lessons should be enjoyableI maximise the individual talents of each golfer, recognising that as the years go by you can't get into positions that only the youthful can !The golf swing is really not difficult (in spite of what you, might read !), providing you learn and stick to certain basic principlesGolf is a game of constant minor adjustments - I can see the adjustments required in your swing and can teach you to make them."Its all in the mind!" - so I add a psychological slant to my teaching. You strengthen your mental approach at the same time as improving your swing.During lessons the emphasis is on easy-to-remember drills, that help you achieve the desired "muscle memory" at that part of the swing. Not lots of confusing words.
At the end of each lesson you are given 3 written "Practice Prompts" to remind you of what you should practice before your next lesson.
I also keep a record of your progress after each lesson. It's amazing how many golfers have a "default" fault - i.e. an error which recurrs when a golfer is tired or not concentrating well.
